Remember Remember Line Up New LP for Mogwai's Rock Action Imprint

Three years after the release of their self-titled debut, gentle Glaswegian instrumental indie outfit Remember Remember are back with their sophomore effort, The Quickening. The act will deliver the new record on October 11 via Mogwai's Rock Action imprint.

Though the project started off as the solo venture of Graeme Ronald, Remember Remember swelled to a septet for last year's RR Scorpii EP, further stirring up the post-rock pot with swashes of glockenspiel and strings.

Recorded earlier this year at Scottish studio Chem 19, The Quickening is still poised to deliver the playful sounds of previous releases, but "the music dives deeper into darker, psychedelic territories" as well, says the press release. Between its "Pagan waltzes, apocalyptic Egyptian surf and Middle Eastern modes," the album apparently has its fair share of bittersweet compositions.

You can check out the animated video clip for the particularly gorgeous and delicate new tune "Scottish Widows" down below.

The Quickening:

1. "White Castle"

2. "Ocean Potion"

3. "Scottish Widows"

4. "Hey Zeus"

5. "Unclean Powers"

6. "A Larger Demon"

7. "One Happier"

8. "John Candy"
