Reggie Watts Sets Sights on Collaboration with LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy
Considering LCD Soundsystem decided to call it quits a few months back, James Murphy probably has a lot of time to kill these days. To keep himself busy, it looks as if he will be pairing up with comedian Reggie Watts for an upcoming single.

An interview with the music-minded funnyman (think "Fuck Shit Stack" or his collaboration with Eagle and Talon) revealed that he and Murphy are in the midst of sorting out the details on the project.

"James and I might be doing a single sometime soon," Watts told New York Magazine. "It's still 60 percent loose, but he seems down to do it and I think it would be fun to work with him. That would be great."

While there's not much to report beyond that, Watts dished on his hopes for the as-of-yet unconfirmed release.

"I think it's going to be a seven-inch single with a remix on the other side. I would be the vocals and we would probably be doing some kind of a cover. I'm going to guess sometime next year, early next year, or maybe -- he's a fast dude! Maybe he'll turn one around."

Unless you dudes want to pony up some serious dough for royalty fees, might we suggest an LCD re-tweak tipping its hat to Watts's former tourmate titled "Conan O'Brien Is Playing at My House"?
