Red Hot Chili Peppers Releasing All 'I'm With You' Shows as Live Albums
Sure, I'm With You was decent enough, but does the world really need dozens of Red Hot Chili Peppers live albums? Apparently the band think so, since they've announced plans to release every upcoming show from their current tour as a digital download through their website.

That's right, the shirtless California funk stars will be following in the footsteps of such bands as Pearl Jam and Phish, and saturating the market with live releases. This announcement comes just a few months after the group screened a live concert at cinemas around the world.

If you head to LiveChiliPeppers.com, you will find that shows dating back to November 7 are already available to purchase. This means eight different concerts in total so far, all of which took place in the UK. The shows are professionally recorded and available in MP3, FLAC and ALAC formats. The MP3s cost $9.95 per show, while the lossless versions are $12.95 a pop.

Even though releasing every show is a bit excessive, this ought to help tide fans over until RHCP finally announce a North American tour in support of I'm with You. All of their currently scheduled gigs are in Europe.
