To no one's surprise, Toronto punks PUP are once again hard at work on the road, and it seems they've made a famous friend along the way. They invited Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith to their gig last night (May 15) — and dude actually turned up.
After spotting the drummer (and Will Ferrell lookalike) at the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory during the day, PUP put out an invite to the Pepper to come to their show at Zanzabar.
Well, it seems that Smith totally took them up on the offer, hanging around and having some beers with the band backstage. In PUP's own words, "Sometimes the world is weird."
Check out photo evidence of the meet-up below, and head over here for a full list of PUP's upcoming shows.
