The Red Bull Music Academy Weekender will present a series of experimental and immersive events around the city from September 21 to 24. Each of the four evenings will put the spotlight on different styles and performers.

September 22 will find the Music Academy teaming with Montreal's Moonshine collective to focus on "the sweaty fringes of electronic music and the African sounds that form them," celebrating diversity and dance culture with Pierre Kwenders, Le1f, Bonbon Kojak, M. Bootyspoon, Odile Myrtil, Toronto selector Bambii, Portugal's DJ Marfox, TYGAPAW and Total Freedom.

The focus will shift to house and techno on September 23, with a 13-hour, two-stage marathon featuring sets from Borusiade, Carla Dal Forno (live), Carlos Souffront b2b Derek Plaslaiko, Courtesy, Jayda G, Umfang and Volvox. The final evening brings R&B duo Rhye to the National for an intimate performance on September 24, with Charlotte Day Wilson providing opening support.

Tickets for all events go on sale Thursday (August 31). Further Weekender information can be found through the event's official website.
