Record Store Day's 2014 Exclusives So Far, Outkast's OVO Fest Debut and Pussy Riot's Olympic Attack in Our News Roundup

Despite this workweek being a short one for many people out there, it was a surprisingly busy one. So chances are a few key stories passed you by, or at least that is until you read our news roundup.

First up, there was a big pile of big festival announcements this week. Not only did Drake announce his Outkast-equipped OVO Fest, but we got lineup announcements from MUTEK and Elektra Festival's new EM15 event, Arts & Crafts' Field Trip, Guelph's Kazoo! Fest and Bonnaroo. And while not a festival show, German electronic legends Kraftwerk made a lot of Vancouverites happy by adding a concert in the West Coast city.

In other news, Russian political punks Pussy Riot were again in the headlines this week, first for being arrested at the Olympics in Sochi and then for being attacked and whipped by Cossacks. And in a truly sad bit of news, Devo's Bob Casale died.

Then we had Pharrell announcing his G I R L album, Conor Oberst filing a defamation lawsuit against a rape accuser, and Ikea sending record collectors into a panic by revealing that it is phasing out its beloved Expedit shelving units.

Last but not least, Record Store Day is already fast approaching, with the annual event set to take place on April 19. To get you prepared, we have already assembled a list of exclusives set for release on the big day. Stay tuned for updates, but head over here to see all the exclusives announced so far.
