Published Jan 29, 2013If you're still on the fence about whether to sign up for one of the web's streaming music services, this might be the thing that changes your mind. Today (January 29), Rdio announced that it will be offering Canadian listeners up to six months of free music.
New listeners can sign up at rdio.com and active the service's desktop app with no credit card required. A press release notes, "Listen free on the web for up to six months, depending on how many songs you stream."
If free listeners stream more than the allotted quantity, mind you, they will need to sign up for unlimited streaming at $4.99 a month (or $9.99 for unlimited web and mobile streaming plus wireless syncing). Free trial users will see a meter at the top of their profile pages letting them know how much free access they have left.
The service also allows users to create playlists, share what music they're listening to through social networking sights, and browse what friends and artists are listening to. Learn more at rdio.com.
