The Rapture's Gabriel Andruzzi and Vito Roccoforte Prep Debut EP as Vito & Druzzi

Though there's still kind of a question mark on whether or not the Rapture in fact broke up earlier this year, multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Andruzzi and drummer Vito Roccoforte are forging ahead for the time being as production duo Vito & Druzzi. A debut EP titled Moon Temple is set to arrive later this month through Throne of Blood.

A four-song 12-inch hits stores June 30, with a digital release set for early July. The EP features two original, minimalist house-styled songs from Vito & Druzzi ("Moon Temple" and "King of the Jungle") with remixes of the tracks being delivered by, respectively, Curses (formerly known as Drop the Lime) and UK duo PBR Streetgang. You'll find snippets of all of the tracks in the player down below.

The news of Vito & Druzzi's EP comes following French producer Joakim's recent premiere of swooning house-pop cut "Bring Your Love," which features lead vocal work from Rapture vocalist Luke Jenner.

Earlier this spring, Jenner had been booked for a New York concert as "ex-The Rapture," calling into question the status of the band. After some online hubbub, the DFA label's Jonathan Galkin later issued the statement, "Feel free to go to press with this headline: 'Did the Rapture Break Up and Not Tell Anyone?'"
