Last year, rapper Tim Dog (real name Timothy Blair) was reported dead following complications related to diabetes and a seizure. A couple months later, however, a victim of the rapper's fraudulent dating scheme claimed that his death was faked and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Well, following an investigation, Dateline NBC has now obtained a death certificate for Blair, confirming that the "Fuck Compton" rapper did indeed die on February 14, 2013.
Dateline began investigating at the request of scam victim Esther Pilgrim, to whom Blair was in the process of repaying $19,000. NBC's report offers the following conclusion:
Timothy Blair died at Hospice Atlanta, Dekalb County, GA on 14 February, 2013. Dateline obtained his death certificate from the Dekalb County GA Board of Health. No paperwork was filed in the county where Blair was widely believed to be living — because death records are filed in the county of death; and no one except close family, friends and carers knew where the former rapper lived — and died.
