Ramones' First Six Albums Collected in New Box Set

BY Josiah HughesPublished Sep 27, 2013

Punk legends the Ramones are in one of those sticky situations where they're so famous and beloved that people love spending money on them, but it's impossible for them to put out new material. With that in mind, it's not uncommon for their work to be repackaged and resold, which is exactly what's happening with a new box set.

Ramones: The Sire Years 1976-1981 is a new box set collecting the band's first six albums in a six-disc CD box set. Those include Ramones (1976), Leave Home (1977), Rocket to Russia (1977), Road to Ruin (1978), End of the Century (1980) and Pleasant Dreams (1981).

The box set will be sold at a relatively low price (Amazon currently has it listed at under $40), so it's not too bad if you want a bunch of Ramones albums in your car's six-disc changer.

Rhino Records will issue the set on October 29.
