Raleigh

"Carebear" (video)

Calgary trio Raleigh recorded their new album, Sun Grenades & Grenadine Skies, last year at Montreal's Hotel2Tango studio with Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade) and Greg Smith. While that collection is still unreleased, you can now check out a video for the single "Carebear."

This quirky pop-rock number features a cyclical melody and a minimal arrangement that builds towards a noisy avant-jazz crescendo. The accompanying video, meanwhile, shows a cast of wackily dressed partiers shimmying their way up an escalator. They eventually have an extremely crowded party in an overstuffed public bathroom, and the final moments offer an amusing view of the carnage.

The album's release date has yet to be announced, but Raleigh's upcoming Canadian tour schedule is below.
