Rah Rah Prep New EP, Announce Canadian Tour Dates

In recent years, Regina, SK-based baroque rockers Rah Rah have been building up a devoted following across Canada by releasing stand-out albums and going on high-profile tours. Now, the group have signed a new record deal and are preparing to release a new EP.

The band recently signed with the Hamilton, ON-based Hidden Pony, which has also released albums by Said the Whale, Hannah Georgas, Imaginary Cities and Jeremy Fisher. On March 22, the label will put out the three-song Rah Rah EP The Sailors, which will be a digital-only release.

Expect the new material to be in a similar vein as the band's past work. According to a press release, "The Sailors EP expands upon their sophomore disc Breaking Hearts." Hidden Pony boss Mike Renaud adds, "Their next record is going to be killer."

That's not all that the band have on the way. They plan to drop a remix EP in the fall, which reportedly "features songs retooled and reconstructed under the guidance of close band friend, Chris Graham. Chris took tracks into a new stratosphere but with equally incredible results as their original versions."

As we've come to expect from Rah Rah, they will be heading out on more Canadian tour dates. The band will be hitting up and Ontario and Quebec later this month before heading down to Texas for SXSW. See the schedule below the tracklist.
