Raekwon will reflect on his life and work in a new memoir next year. The Wu-Tang Clan spitter will deliver The Story of Raekwon in 2021 through Gallery Books.
As Rolling Stone reports, The Story of Raekwon was co-written by the artist and music writer Anthony Bozza, and will chronicle Raekwon's rise from "drug dealer to hip-hop godfather" while also examining the Wu-Tang Clan's "early growing pains in an industry that wasn't ready for their success."
"This is my story, from being a wide-eyed kid full of hopes and dreams, through hard times and sadness and so many situations I'm amazed I survived," Raekwon said in a statement. "This is all of it, the good, the bad, the ugly, the whole truth and nothing but."
The Story of Raekwon's arrival will make the rapper the third member of Wu-Tang to become a published author. In 2004, RZA published The Wu-Tang Manual ahead of 2009's The Tao of Wu. Both books served as the basis for the group's biopic series, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, which arrived last year. More recently, U-God published memoir Raw: My Journey into the Wu-Tang in 2018.
Bozza has previously written books on Eminem and AC/DC, and has also co-authored autobiographies with the likes of Slash, Tommy Lee, Wyclef Jean, Mick Fleetwood and more.
Raekwon's acclaimed solo debut, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..., turned 25 this year. His most recent studio full-length remains 2017's The Wild.
