Raekwon Planning Autobiography

Having just released his solid Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang, Raekwon is settling nicely into his status as a rap veteran making relevant music. In our review of the album, we said "this is how you age gracefully." Another part of aging for any entertainer, of course, is the book deal, an arena that Rae might explore sooner than you think.

"That's in the making soon. I just gotta deal with certain things at certain times in my life," Raekwon told AllHipHop of a possible autobiography. "When it's time to happen, yeah I got a great story and I'm going to tell the truth. It'll be something that you can jump on a plane or get on the bus and say yo that kid evolved as a man."

Of course, as a recording artist with a family, the Wu-Tang vet has plenty on his plate right now. "I'm not no sucker nigga running around not doing right by my children, or raising them the wrong way," he added. "I'm in their life, I wish I could be in there more. But daddy gotta work. I got a vicious story that I'ma tell sooner or later."

While there are no solid details on a publisher or a release date for the book, we have high hopes that it will be a great read when it does come out. After all, Rae took many years to finally deliver Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt. II, and that was well worth the wait.
