While Rae Spoon's forthcoming, electro-organic offering Armour doesn't come out for another month, the Canadian singer-songwriter has premiered the touching title track. You can hear the shuffle of six-strings and drum machine beats now via a newly loosened lyric video.
The song finds Spoon's multi-layered vocal harmonies musing over personal details of building a life together with someone, and the many ways in which we protect ourselves emotionally. This all takes place above a skittery slap of electronic drum programming and tremolo-heavy melodies.
As for the visuals, Spoon's lyrics fade in and out of view over top of a magenta-tinted forest scene.
