Published Jan 28, 2016As previously reported, Library Voices offshoot Radville have been working on a debut EP, and it's finally ready to arrive later this week. Before it does, though, Exclaim! is giving you an exclusive first listen to the new record in its entirety.
The two-piece band is made up of Library Voices drummer Mike Thievin and his former schoolmate, roommate, co-worker and foosball opponent Rob Morrison, who takes on the role of guitarist and producer for the project. Their friend Travis Packer also joined in on bass for the sessions.
Recording in a concrete basement and mixing in a garage, they've created a batch of songs that deliver urgent, heavy-hitting, technical-minded math rock. Hear the duo blaze through seven scorching instrumental experiments by giving Radville an advanced spin in the player below.
The album is officially out on Friday (January 29).
