Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood to Score Paul Thomas Anderson's 'Inherent Vice'

Jonny Greenwood has been busy in the orchestral world as of late, since selections from his There Will Be Blood score will appear on a split with the National's Bryce Dessner and he confirmed plans for an upcoming piece called Water. Soon, the Radiohead guitarist will add another film score to his resume, since he has reportedly composed the music for Paul Thomas Anderson's Inherent Vice.

Film Music Reporter confirmed the news. Evidently the music is already well underway, since Greenwood will apparently be recording it this month with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London, UK.

Inherent Vice is a crime drama based on the 2009 novel by Thomas Pynchon. Its star-filled cast includes Joaquin Phoenix, Reese Witherspoon, Josh Brolin, Benicio Del Toro, Owen Wilson, Jena Malone, Martin Short, Maya Rudolph and more. It's expected to premiere at a film festival later this year, with a subsequent release coming through Warner Bros. Pictures.

Greenwood has composed the music for Anderson's prior two films, 2007's There Will Be Blood and 2012's The Master.
