These are exciting times for Radiohead fans. Not only did the group just announce that their new album, The King of Limbs, would be released digitally on Saturday (February 19), but guitarist Jonny Greenwood recently scored the Japanese film Norwegian Wood. Now, Greenwood has signed on to do another score, this time for the upcoming drama We Need to Talk About Kevin.

The news comes via The Playlist/Hollywood Reporter, who reveal that Greenword will write the music for the movie by UK director Lynne Ramsay (Morvern Caller, Ratcatcher). It's based on the 2003 novel by Lionel Shriver, in which a mother deals with her grief after her son goes on a killing spree at his school. It will star Tilda Swinton and John C. Reilly.

According to IMDB, the film is slated to come out September 2 in the UK via BBC Films. There's no word as to when, or if, the soundtrack will drop.

Greenwood's Norwegian Wood score will get its North American release on March 8. Greenwood previously earned a Grammy nomination for his soundtrack to 2007's There Will Be Blood.
