Radiohead Drummer Phil Selway Prepping Solo Album with Wilco Members, Lisa Germano

Well, it looks as if the web chatter is true: Radiohead drummer Phil Selway is indeed releasing a solo album. As NME reports, Selway is currently recording the as-yet-untitled record in Radiohead's Oxfordshire studio, but he's not going it alone.

While Selway is doing vocals on the album, he has also tapped Wilco's drummer Glenn Kotche and their Pat Sansone to lend a hand, as well as 4AD vet Lisa Germano and bassist Sebastian Steinberg, who's played with everyone from Soul Coughing to William Shatner and the Dixie Chicks.

No release date has been revealed yet for the Selway record, and there's no word on how he will release it. The Radiohead member did, however, debut the tracks "The Witching Hour" and "The Ties That Bind Us" at the 7 Worlds Collide show last month in London, which was in support of the recently released Neil Finn charity collection 7 Worlds Collide: The Sun Came Out. Selway also appears on the comp.
