Radiohead Apparently Not Joining David Bowie Tribute Album with Carla Bruni and Charlotte Gainsbourg

UPDATE: According to Pitchfork, Radiohead have confirmed they are in fact not involved in a David Bowie tribute album. Yeah, we know, we're bummed too.

Always in the spotlight, Thom Yorke recently took part in a tribute album to Mark Mulcahy, Ciao My Shining Star: The Songs of Mark. This time around, with less black tie and more white noise, Yorke and the entire Radiohead crew are partaking in a David Bowie tribute album, which is due out in February 2010.

So far details are sparse but the album is rumoured to also feature France's first lady, Carla Bruni, and Charlotte Gainsbourg, and will be a follow-up to this year's War Child: Heroes.

According to a post by Mick Karn, another artist who says he's on the Bowie tribute album, the record was set to be released earlier this year but was delayed due to conflicting schedules.

A big thanks to TwentyFourBit for bringing this story to our attention.
