The Radio Dept. Cancel North American Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 27, 2011

Last year, Swedish shoegaze-loving indie pop outfit the Radio Dept. told Exclaim! about their difficulties in attempting to tour in North America. Unfortunately, things don't seem to have gotten much better for them, since they just cancelled their upcoming North American jaunt.

Information is scarce at this point, but Brooklyn Vegan notes that the tour has been axed. The outing was scheduled to last for most of November and included two stops here in Canada: November 17 in Toronto and the next day in Montreal. Toronto promoter Collective Concerts confirms that the show has indeed been called off.

It looks as if we're going to have to hang tight and wait for further explanation and, if we're lucky, some rescheduled shows. In the meantime, check out the cancelled dates below.
