Rabbit

Welcome to America

BY Roman SokalPublished Jun 1, 2002

Although he plays it safe by sticking to a form of all-American roadhouse bar jukebox traditionalist rock, John "Rabbit" Bundrick can lay down keyboards unlike anyone else, if you pay close attention. In the '70s, he was in high demand as a session player, having played with the likes of Jethro Tull, Bob Marley, Abba, Roger Waters, Free and the Who, with whom he still plays. It might be nothing you haven't heard before but there is enough guaranteed satisfaction to keep guitar rock enthusiasts happy (also includes the guitar of former Pink Floyd touring guitarist Snowy White), backed with vocals that are reminiscent of Steve Winwood after a few cartons of cigarettes. Welcome to America is a strong album with longevity.
