R. Kelly's 'Trapped in the Closet' Gets Singalong Treatment in Toronto
R. Kelly's ultra-campy "hip-hopera" Trapped in the Closet is about to go the Rocky Horror route, with Toronto event planners having announced a singalong tribute to the multi-chaptered musical at the TIFF Bell Lightbox on June 15.

A press release explains that the first 22 chapters of the comical sex saga will be shown on the big screen, and organizers are encouraging the audience to sing along with Sylvester, Rufus, Cathy, Rosie, Pimp Lucius and all the rest. One can imagine that you might want to dress the part and prep for some prop-based interactivity, à la Rocky Horror's toast toss. Might we suggest you keep a cherry pie and some pears on-hand the day of the show?

While seemingly not officially sanctioned, this is yet another next-level addition to the always-expanding project, following over 30 video instalments, TV broadcasts, plans for a Broadway musical and book, and the entertaining sound board, among other ventures.

As previously reported, Kelly promised that "Trapped in the Closet is pretty much forever."
