R. Kelly Seeks Investors for 32 More Chapters of 'Trapped in the Closet'

R. Kelly has been doing bizarre projects for years, but we will never cease to be amazed by just how wacky he can be. Having recently announced his Love Letter Cruise, the batshit crazy singer has unveiled his latest endeavour: making 32 new chapters for his R&B narrative Trapped in the Closet.

That's right -- the already-bloated 22-chapter hip-hopera just swelled by more than double. The new instalments haven't yet been filmed, however, since making the videos is so expensive that even R. Kelly can't afford it. (We imagine that getting sued is expensive.)

Speaking with TMZ, the singer said, "I've got 32 more chapters that I'm trying to put out now. It costs a lot of money to do it, so we're actually looking for investors."

This feels a bit like a crackpot inventor trying to convince us to buy into his unique and probably completely useless new creation. But 32 new chapters is 32 new chapters.

Trapped in the Closet premiered in 2005, and the most recent instalment came in 2007. Watch R. Kelly discussing the new chapters below, and get a kick out of his knowing smile when the interviewer tells him how much she loves the project.
