R. Kelly Officially Announces the Return of 'Trapped in the Closet,' Uploads New Teaser Clip
The world's most ridiculous hip-hop opera (or, rather, "hip-hopera") is officially making its return. R. Kelly previously announced that he had written a whopping 32 new chapters of the bizarre Trapped in the Closet project and was seeking funding to film them. Now, we're happy to report that Kelly's insane ambitions have become a reality.

The new chapters are being produced by Sylvester Films and Fuzzy Bunny Films (the latter of which also helped out with previous chapters), and they will air on the IFC. The exact air date is unknown, but you can watch a short teaser clip below.

The R&B singer said in a statement, "When I first began experiencing the unknown journey of writing Trapped in the Closet I knew after the first chapter that I had tapped into something that was not of this earth. Being the nosy person that I am, I more than anyone wanted to know what the second chapter would be. And now here we are at chapter 23."

Of course, R. Kelly will be executive producing and starring in these new chapters.
