R. Kelly Pushes Back 'Black Panties' Release

A few last-minute changes have forced R&B curio R. Kelly to push his long-in-the-works Black Panties off to the side, with the album now fit with a December 10 due date.

A representative for Kells told Rolling Stone that this latest delay is due to the mastering job on the record, which apparently had to undergo some late-in-the-game tweaking. Earlier this fall, it had been reported that the singer's no doubt silky-smooth 12th full-length would arrive November 11 through RCA before slipping down towards a December 3 release date.

A tracklisting has yet to arrive for Black Panties, but thus far it's been teased with recent singles like Kelly's 2 Chainz collab "My Story," "Genius" and the oh-so-tasty "Cookie."

In other news, Lady Gaga recently tweeted about her upcoming collaboration with the singer for her ARTPOP LP, noting that Kells "sounds incredible" on the record's "Do What You Want." That album arrives November 11 via Interscope Records.
