R.E.M. are gearing up to put out their extensive R.E.M. at the BBC box set, and they've unveiled another snippet from the upcoming release.

This time, we get to hear a live rendition of "E-Bow the Letter," featuring Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke.

The performance was originally recorded at St. James Church in London on September 15, 2004, and hears Yorke singing the parts of Patti Smith, who appeared on the original version of the track from 1996's New Adventures in Hi-Fi.

Of course, Yorke and R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe still seem to be on good terms; the former visited the latter's art exhibition in Brooklyn earlier this year.

R.E.M. at the BBC arrives October 19 via Craft Recordings.
