Back in March, oddball organist Quintron announced that he would be embarking upon an extensive tour of North America with his wife, performer and puppeteer, Miss Pussycat. Unfortunately, if you were hoping to catch the duo live, you're going to have to wait, since the outing just got cancelled.
A press release says that the cancellation is "due to situations beyond their control involving a family emergency at home." The pair will play their two shows this weekend, but all gigs after that have been axed. This includes seven Canadian dates, including stops in Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver and three performances at Calgary's Sled Island festival.
Quintron and Miss Pussycat "hope to be able to reschedule all dates as soon as possible," but there's currently no word as to when that will be. In the meantime, check out Quintron's new album, Sucre du Sauvage, out now via Goner Records.
