After decades of silence, beloved post-hardcore NYC crew Quicksand have suddenly released their first new music since 1995.
The song is called "Illuminant," and it marks the first single off their first new album 22 years. You can check it out for yourself now below.
UPDATE (8/22, 1:15 p.m. EDT): The new album will arrive on November 10 via Epitaph. It was produced and engineered by Will Yip. Quicksand have also announced a North American tour. You can see all the dates, as well as the tracklist, below, where you'll also find a new video for "Illuminant."
The sudden song reveal follows a teaser video released this week promising a new album called Interiors, which will arrive at some point in 2017 via Epitaph. At this point, though, details on the album are pretty much non-existent, so simply dig into "Illuminant" below, where you'll also find that teaser video.
Quicksand originally broke up in 1995 and, following a reunion, again in 1999. They then later reunited in 2012. Their last album remains 1995's Manic Compression.
