Quicksand

"Fazer" / "Omission" (live on 'Fallon')

Early '90s NYC post-hardcore kings Quicksand have been playing reunion shows in the U.S. this year, but in case you haven't managed to book yourself a flight to any of their gigs, the band played a couple classic cuts on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night (August 22), and you can check both out now.

The group ran through "Fazer" and "Omission" from their debut LP Slip, which you might remember is being reissued by Dine Alone/Shop Radio Cast on September 11. ("Omission" also appeared on the group's debut 7-inch in better form, but we digress.)

While the band's slinky grooves still hold up after all these years, the aging hardcore act really aren't the liveliest bunch. Singer/guitarist Walter Schreifels does a pretty cute jig following his mid-song spoken word rant on "Omission," though.

Check out the performance below.
