Published Jun 06, 2013Queens of the Stone Age are riding high off the recent release of their long-anticipated ...Like Clockwork LP and celebrated in grand fashion yesterday (June 5) on the Late Show with David Letterman. Not only did they serve up head-cracking single "My God Is the Sun" for the TV broadcast, but they played a full concert for the crowd at the Ed Sullivan Theater. You can peep both down below.
"My God Is the Sun" was deftly whomped out by the band, though softer touches like leader Josh Homme's signature croon and some subtly shaken maracas shone through the guitar fuzz. The live set, recorded as part of the Live on Letterman concert series, leaned heavy on ...Like Clockwork tracks like "Keep Your Eyes Peeled" and "Kalopsia," but the band snuck in older songs like "Little Sister" too.
Tonight (June 6), Queens of the Stone Age return to the program to play another tune.
