Quebecois Crooner Jen Roger Dead at 89

Jen Roger, a beloved Quebecois crooner, has died. He passed away in Montreal on Tuesday (December 13). Roger was 89 years old.

The news was confirmed by the CBC, though no specific cause of death was revealed. Roger was unmarried and did not have children.

Roger recorded over 200 songs in his lengthy career, selling 150,000 records in the process. He was also the master of ceremonies at the famed Casa Loma and hosted the radio show Découvertes de Jen Roger.

The singer took a break from performing in the 1970s and 1980s, but returned in 1996 with a group called Les Crooners.
