He might be a member of "Drug Dealers Anonymous," but rapper Pusha T is also responsible for peddling another seriously dangerous substance to the youth of America. We're talking, of course, about the fatty burgs dished out by McDonald's. Pusha's involvement with the chain? He wrote their ubiquitous jingle "I'm Lovin' It."
The G.O.O.D. Music president apparently knows a thing or two about a good burger jingle, as he reportedly came up with the hook for the Justin Timberlake/Neptunes song that has lived on as a hellishly catchy McDicks anthem.
According to Steve Stoute, of the marketing company Transition, it was Pusha who came up with the fast-food hook. Speaking with Ebro [via XXL], he clarified the Clipse member's involvement in the song.
"You know who did that? Pusha T," Stoute said of the jingle. "That's crazy that Pusha T wrote the song for McDonald's. I can't remember the money [received]. It was 11 years ago. Nobody was upset."
Watch Stoute discuss Pusha T's fast-food past in the interview below, where you'll also find a hilariously dated ad featuring Pusha rapping over the jingle.
