It's been five years to the day since Edmonton-bred electro-pop duo Purity Ring released their career-defining debut album Shrines. Since then, they've issued a follow-up and collaborated with Katy Perry. Now, to celebrate the half-decade since their debut, the group have shared a new single.

The song is called "Asido," and marks their first official material under Purity Ring since 2015's Another Eternity. For better or worse, it sounds exactly like the duo's past work, pairing Corin Roddick's high-end production with Megan James' enchanting vocals.

Listen to "Asido" below, which has also been released with an accompanying lyric video.

Hopefully this means more Purity Ring is on its way soon.
