Purity Ring

"Fineshrine"

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 20, 2012

Purity Ring's debut album is called Shrines, and while the collection technically doesn't include a title track, it does feature a tune called "Fineshrine," which the Edmonton electronic pop duo are now giving away as a free single.

The song blends fluttering beats with lushly layered vocals and a deceptively sweet vocal line that softens the blow of a chorus that features the lyric "cut open my sternum." Stream it or pick up a free download below.

Shrines will be out on July 24 through Last Gang/4AD. Purity Ring will go about promoting it by heading out on a North American tour. See the schedule here.
