PUP and 'Stranger Things' Actor Finn Wolfhard Team Up for New Video

After getting Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard to portray frontman Stefan Babcock in a video for their track "Guilt Trip" back in 2014, Canadian punkers PUP have teamed up with the child actor once more in a new video for "Sleep in the Heat."

Serving as a sequel to the "Guilt Trip," the new video is set three years on from the events of the last clip. Within it, the all-kid version of the band deal with the emotional trouble of losing a beloved pet, with Wolfhard befriending a dog to the point of pawning his guitar and leaving the band when his furry friend falls ill.

PUP frontman Babcock wrote the song for The Dream Is Over following the death of his pet chameleon, Norman. Upon learning the deeper meaning, Wolfhard was moved by the lyrics just as much as the music.

"When I first listened to the song I was like, 'Oh, this is super-dark, maybe about some girlfriend overdosing on heroin, cooped up in a bedroom or something,'" Wolfhard told Vulture, adding that he pitched the idea of a "Guilt Trip part two" to the band over a ramen meal while he was filming a movie in Toronto.

"I told them 'Sleep in the Heat' is one of my favourite tracks on the album and asked Stefan what it was about, if it was about a girlfriend passing away, and he was like, 'Nah, it's just about my chameleon.' It was surprising. It's pretty awesome that you can write a heartfelt song about your little chameleon."

The Dream Is Over is out now on Royal Mountain Records/SideOneDummy. Watch the video for "Sleep in the Heat" in the player below.
