Toronto punk quartet PUP are the latest group to sign up for the A.V. Club's "Undercover" series, which sees bands delivering a series of cover tunes.
PUP opted to take on Buzzcocks' apostrophe-heavy anthem "Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)," though they admit that it's mainly because they can't play any Rush songs.
That said, it was a wise choice. The group maintain the melody and urgency of the original, pulling off some impressive multi-part harmonies. They also beef up the aggression, adding a thick layer of distortion to the track.
