After teasing their sophomore record with the release of "DVP" last month, PUP have offered up an amusing lyric video for the new high-energy album cut.
Directed by Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux, the track's lyrics are playfully worked into footage from classic videogames such as Punch-Out!!, Super Mario Bros., Mega Man, Pokémon, Mortal Kombat and a wealth of others.
"The four of us grew up in the golden-age of spastic, seizure inducing video games (see: the '90s)," vocalist Stefan Babcock said in a press release. "Our best bud Jeremy had the idea to smash together scenes from some of our favourite games in a hot pile of ADHD-insanity. Turns out that pairs really well with our music. Go figure."
The band have also announced a headlining show in their native Toronto at the Phoenix Concert Theatre, set for May 26. Tickets for the show can be found here.
