Lo-fi poogazers Psychedelic Horseshit are once again gearing up for a little road trip. Come April, the Columbus, OH outfit and their guaranteed-to-be shambolic live show will swing across North American, playing Toronto, Montreal and several dates in Obamaland alongside Louisiana art rocker Quintron.
Along with the tour, Psychedelic Horseshit have a pile of new releases lined up and as usual, it's all a bit unorganized. First, the band have a self-released LP called Golden Oldies due out sometime in March or April. It will apparently find the group doing a little vault-digging, gathering up the group's very first and oldest four-track recordings. Then sometime this spring, they have a twelve-inch called Shitgaze Anthems due out on Woodsist, another called Acid Test set for late spring/early summer on Troubleman Unlimited and a new seven-inch called Beached Wails, which has a "surprise release date." To cap it all off, Psychedelic Horseshit also have a second LP planned for 2009 called Too Many Hits, and that one is expected late this summer via Siltbreeze.
With any luck, a few of those releases will show up on the merch table this upcoming tour, which is expected to expand and add more West coast and Canadian dates. Right now, here's what the confirmed schedule looks like for Psychedelic Horseshit and Quintron's joint spring tour:
