Winnipeg political punk lifers Propagandhi have been plugging away for more than 25 years, and in that time have released five LPs. Well, here's some good news for the band's supporters: by the sound of things, album No. 6 may not be far off.

Singer Chris Hannah (who has the charming Twitter handle of @Jesus_H_Chris) tweeted last Friday (February 17), "for those asking: record will hopefully be out late summer. label secured, but TBA. it's more mysterious that way."

By the sound of things, the record is just about finished and ready to go, since he wrote, "last day of tracking guitars for new record. beer league hockey, I'm coming home!"

He also posted this picture of bassist Todd Kowalski in the studio.

The as-yet-untitled record will be the band's first LP since 2009's Supporting Caste. Stay tuned for more updates about the forthcoming record.
