The Prodigy's 'Fat of the Land' Gets Deluxe Reissue, Adds Remixes by Major Lazer, Zeds Dead, the Glitch Mob

This week, reports surfaced that XL Recordings' bank balance swelled from $4.7 million to $50 million in 2012, largely thanks to Adele and her mega-selling album 21. Clearly, the British label is putting those profits to good use, since it has just announced a heap of vinyl reissues.

Among them is an expanded re-release of the Prodigy's mega-successful 1997 album The Fat of the Land, due out December 4. The reissue will be repressed for its 15th anniversary as a double LP, deluxe double CD and deluxe digital package.

Both of the deluxe versions (both CD and digital) will come with remixes from Noisia, Alvin Risk, Zeds Dead, Major Lazer, Baauer and the Glitch Mob. The first four of these will also be issued as a 12-inch vinyl EP called The Added Fat.

As for the other titles repressed on vinyl, they are: the Prodigy's Music for the Jilted Generation (1994), Basement Jaxx's Remedy (1999), and Badly Drawn Boy's The Hour of the Bewilderbeast (2000) and About a Boy (2002). These other titles are already available now in stores and at the XL online store.
