The Prodigy

"The Day Is My Enemy" (live video)

Long-running UK electronic unit the Prodigy recently returned with their sixth studio LP The Day Is My Enemy. They've followed up the release with some accompanying live visuals for the album's title track, and Exclaim! has got the exclusive Canadian video premiere.

A recent press release explained that the record "understands that the nighttime spaces of urban Britain are a multi-hued cacophony of culture" and that the songs are about "angry humanity existing in the decay of the urban nightmare."

The resulting anxiety is captured on "The Day Is My Enemy," with its terrifyingly bombastic beat and eerily innocuous hook. As for the video, it opts instead to celebrate the group in all of their live glory. Captured at a show in Australia, rambunctious fans, flashing arena lights, and high-stamina stage antics permeate the clip, which is sure to get you moving along with the overly energized masses that are shown on camera.

The Day Is My Enemy is out now via Take Me to the Hospital/Cooking Vinyl, and you can catch your first glimpse of the video for the title track in the player below.
