Private Investigators

'Disturbing the Void' (EP stream)

Edmonton artists Ian Rowley and Parker Thiessen keep plenty busy with projects like Rhythm of Cruelty, Boothman, Zebra Pulse and Bong Sample, but that wasn't enough so they started a sci-fi themed electronic project called Private Investigators.

This week, the pair will release Disturbing the Void, a new EP for Deep Sea Mining Syndicate. Ahead of its arrival, Exclaim! is happy to premiere the six-song release in full.

The release is written up as a "paranoid cyberpunk masterpiece that oozes dread," and that description couldn't be more apt. The release is packed with dark, distorted synth patches and long passages of noise.

Listen to Disturbing the Void below. The EP will arrive in full on February 26.
