Prince is starting to have a TV-heavy 2014, with news arriving last night (February 27) that the Purple One is all set to take over the Arsenio Hall Show next week.
Last night, Hall confirmed next Wednesday's (March 5) "rare late-night appearance" by reading out a message Prince wrote, which was delivered in person on the program via "a letter-bearing clone" sporting tassels, circular sunglasses, an afro wig and moustache.
"The Arsenio Hall Show has always been so welcoming to us in the past, and we wanted to return that favour," Hall read, on behalf of Prince. "Just say the word, and we will bring out the whole crew over to your place and do a performance you will never forget. Just in case you haven't heard, I've been practicing, and I've gotten pretty good now."
You can watch the announcement down below.
We'll have to wait and find out to see what Prince has in store for the TV audience, but he'll presumably tackle the program with his 3RDEYEGIRL backup band.
The televised takeover follows Prince's recent appearance on Fox comedy The New Girl.
