Prince has become uncharacteristically open with his fans in 2013, launching a Twitter account and showing up to intimate tour launch parties. This weekend, the Purple One will be getting even more up close and personal with his followers when he hosts a concert at his Paisley Park estate on Saturday (October 5).

City Pages [via Consequence of Sound] reports that Prince will be joined both by his old band, New Power Generation, and his recent group, 3rdEyeGirl.

"We really just wanted to open up Paisley to the public and invite Minnesota and anybody else who can make it out," 3rdEyeGirl drummer Hannah Ford said. "This one is more so like a spur-of-the-moment event to spend time with our community and throw a big concert for everybody and show off some of the stuff we're working on."

There are no advance tickets and only limited on-site parking. A $50 donation is required for entry and capacity is limited, so fans are advised to show up early. No cellphones, cameras, audio recorders or alcoholic drinks will be allowed in. Doors will open at 9 p.m., and the address is 7801 Audubon Road, Chanhassen, MN (Chanhassen is about a half hour drive from Minneapolis).

Meanwhile, Prince and 3rdEyeGirl have been working on an album called Plectrum Electrum, the details of which have yet to be announced.
