Prince Sued by Former Lawyers -- Again

BY Alex HudsonPublished Mar 2, 2011

We're beginning to notice a trend. Last summer, Prince was sued by his former lawyer, Ed McPhereson, for almost $50,000 in unpaid legal fees. Now, the Purple One is getting sued once again, and -- surprise, surprise -- the suit come from another law firm.

The latest charges make the previous lawsuit seem puny by comparison, as this one is worth more than $700,000. The NYC-based Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler is claiming that Prince only paid them $125,000 of his hefty bill. He still owes them a reported $708 687.

Prince apparently racked up the bill with his divorce proceedings, as well as court cases in California, New York and Ireland. According to court documents [via Reuters], "PBWT has repeatedly but unsuccessfully requested payment from [Prince]." This sounds eerily similar to McPherson's claims last year.

We can't help but wonder: which law firm will agree to defend Prince in this latest case?
