Prince to Release New 'Plectrumelectrum' and 'Art Official Age' Albums on the Same Day

Inimitable funk rock god Prince has been teasing his Plectrumelectrum album for a while. Now, he's revealed that the LP will arrive next month alongside a completely different new LP.

Plectrumelectrum will be released under the band name 3RDEYEGIRL, but it will arrive alongside a brand new Prince solo LP. The album's called Art Official Age and features 13 new songs from Prince.

Art Official Age includes some songs we've already heard, along with some sure-to-be-fascinating new works from the prolific, iconic artist.

The album's freaky art, complete with some spaced-out, three-eyed sunglasses, can be viewed above, while its tracklisting and that of Plectrumelectrum are available below.

Both Art Official Age and Plectrumelectrum will arrive on September 30 via Warner Bros. Records. The albums are available to pre-order on iTunes here and here, respectively.
