Prince's iconic album Purple Rain is getting a rather elaborate reissue released next week, but before it arrives in its entirety, another previously unreleased track has been unleashed.
Following "Electric Intercourse" and "Our Destiny / Roundhouse Garden," "Father's Song" is the latest unearthed rarity to see the light of day. A snippet of the song appeared in the film Purple Rain, and pieces later surfaced on "Computer Blue," but this marks the first time that "Father's Song" has been released in its complete original recorded form.
