Published Aug 11, 2016Regardless of how the upcoming American election pans out this fall, it's hard to imagine that the next president of the United States of America will be quite as cool as the outgoing Mr. Obama.
Following his stints as a keynote speaker at SXSW and a professional slow-jammer-of-the-news, POTUS has once again revealed his hip side by sharing his summer playlist for 2016.
He's divided the tracks into lists appropriate for both the daytime and nighttime, with the former set featuring a presidential seal of approval for Wale, Leon Bridges, Courtney Barnett, Janelle Monáe and Jidenna, as well as older cuts from Jay Z and Pharrell, Prince, Aretha Franklin, and the Beach Boys.
For the evening jams, though, Obama opts for the likes of D'Angelo, Billy Holiday, Fiona Apple, Chance the Rapper, Miles Davis and Janet Jackson.
Check out the full tracklisting of recommended tunes below, and keep on scrolling to give a few of the POTUS-approved cuts a listen.
