Post-Punk Heroes Bitch Magnet Reunite for All Tomorrow's Parties

Highly regarded American post-punk outfit Bitch Magnet only existed from 1986 to 1990, but left behind a great legacy with their albums Umber and Ben Hur before members left to form Seam, Squirrel Bait and Bastro. Credited with significantly influencing the early 2000s post-rock of bands like Don Caballero, June of 44 and, more recently, Battles, there's no denying the impact of Bitch Magnet.

But rather than wallow in obscurity while modern bands steal their thunder, Bitch Magnet have revealed plans to reunite for All Tomorrow's Parties' annual Nightmare Before Christmas celebration in Minehead, UK. The fest runs from December 9 to 11.

According to a press release, the performance will see the original recorded lineup of drummer Orestes Morfín, bassist and singer Sooyoung Park and guitarist Jon Fine. It will be the group's first performance since December of 1990, and that lineup's first reunion since 1989.
